California Cracks Down on Competition—State Law Expansion to Monopolistic Behavior

California's legislature is considering major reforms to state antitrust law via a tiny semantic change that will pack a huge legislative punch. This change, while seemingly slight, has sweeping consequences. If passed, AB 1776 would extend the current law's reach to prohibit individual companies from engaging in monopolistic behavior.
